MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC CHAMPIONSHIP AT HUALALAI CHARITIES
Since the Hawaii inception of the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai in 1997, the tournament has made a significant economic and charitable impact on Hawaii's Big Island community. Charitable donations from the tournament have helped support the complete turf renovation of the Kona Soccer fields and public park facilities in Kailua-Kona, fund the ESP Dance Club for girls, acquire state-of-the-art equipment for the local Kona hospital to diagnose and detect kidney stones and beautify the Kona Old Airport Community Park and Walking/Jogging Paths. The Rotary Club of Kona Youth Foundation also provides scholarship support to selected High School Seniors each year.
